YOUTH

Aware of the need to coordinate the efforts of the various information producers to provide relevant, coherent and global statistical information on youth, UNFPA Tunisia, in partnership with the National Council of Statistics and the National Youth Observatory, organized on 14 March 2022 a reflection workshop on the establishment on an information system on Youth issues in Tunisia.

The workshop aimed at showcasing the necessity of the establishment of a governance structure in charge of defining the strategic orientations on youth issues, discuss the need for the establishment of a working group on youth data, agree on its ToRs and set deadlines for the project.

During the workshop the National Youth Observatory presented its previous experience on creating and information platform on youth, highlighting the main challenges and lessons learnt to sustain the initiative and thus the need for institutionalizing it at a higher level under the National Council of Statistics.
