SEXUAL-REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
Enhancing the “Culture of Professional Ethics” in midwifery for transformative results
Activity during the culture of professional ethics workshop
Between March 25th and 27Th March 2022, UNFPA Tunisia and its implementing partner the Tunisian Association of Midwives (ATSF), organized the first of a national workshop series around reinforcing the Culture of Professional Ethics in midwifery practice, aimed at midwives working in various settings across the country.
This newly launched seminar series, which aligns with UNFPA transformative results for 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda, seeks to help promote quality, integrated and ethical Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services and draws on the national Core Competencies Framework for Midwifery - adopted in 2021.
Through socio-constructivism as a learning paradigm and reflective practice as a central approach for professional ethics reinforcement, thirty midwives from central Tunisia engaged in the first workshop session under an international expert guidance.
