Ibsar Association for the Culture and Leisure of the Visually Impaired and Visually Impaired

IBSAR is a non-profit organization founded in 2012, which carries out actions for the benefit of Tunisian blind persons in cooperation with other national and international organizations.

Mission : The Ibsar Association for the Culture and Leisure of blind and visually impaired people aims at promoting and encouraging disabled people, and particularly women, to participate in social life and the decision-making process.

Objectives :

  • To support the presence and the active participation of disabled women in politics as candidates and voters.
  • Promoting the role of citizens regardless of their disability, gender, etc. in the decision-making process.
  • Building up, promoting and developing capacities and skills of disabled people through the means and mechanisms that can help them defend their rights.
  • To disseminate the content of CEDAW to educate women with disabilities regarding their economic, social and cultural rights.

The Ibsar association works mainly on culture, sports and leisure, civil rights and political life as well as on education and professional training at Euro-Mediterranean level. Ibsar has between 2 and 5 years of specific experience working in gender equality.
