YOUTH

Under the leadership of UNFPA, UNICEF and UNV, the UN Working Group on Youth in Tunisia, consulted young people to include their priorities in the new cooperation framework between Tunisia and the United Nations for the period 2021-2025 and thus promote their participation in the sustainable development, humanitarian action and in maintaining peace and security. The consultation was held during the month of June through a digital forum designed by two online volunteers (https://youthforum.onu-tn.org/). Therefore, 172 young people participated in the consultation, their profiles were disaggregated by age, gender, locality, occupation, migration status and type of disability. Young people expressed their concerns and recommendations regarding Tunisia’s inclusive economic development, democratic transition, equality and human development, natural resources and climate change, as well as external influences that can affect development in Tunisia.
